Our featured staff member for March 2013 is Dustin Lewis. Dustin has been working for us since 2012 and really went above and beyond during February's Apex project. From Kelly Greene: "Dustin is a joy to work with. He is reliable, always on time and has a smile that could brighten anyone's day!"

1.  How long have you been working for Urban Enterprises? 8 months?? I think.

2.  What do you do when you're not working?
I am a professional actor/ director/ choreographer. I also am a part time manager for MetroFresh

Welcome to our CLIENT SPOTLIGHT!  On the 15th of each month, Urban Enterprises will be featuring one of our awesome clients!  We work with such fantastic people in the restaurant, retail and event industries that we  want to spotlight one of them every month.  

Our February Client Spotlight is Nick Bogoevski of Ray's Pizza!  We've been working with him since 2012 doing office building distribution.  Find out a little more about Nick:

What do you do for Ray's?  I am a managing partner at 2 of Ray's 4 Atlanta area locations

How long have you worked for Ray's?  I have been with this company for 3 years

Why do you use Urban Enterprises? Urban Enterprises offers potential customers a personal level of marketing that email, direct mail and radio/tv does not. I have had people call my stores and ask if the nice lady that brought our info to their office would be working tonight. I have no idea who the lady was but she obviously left a good, lasting impression on a new customer for me. Honestly though, we use Urban Enterprises because it works - plain and simple.

How long have you lived in Atlanta?  I have lived in Atlanta for 6 years

What do you do when you're not working?  When I'm not working my girlfriend and I love to find new places to eat in and around Atlanta .... but if you asked her she would say I'm always working and then sigh.

Our featured staff member for February 2013 is Carolyn Alexander. Carolyn has worked with us as a promotions specialist on staffing jobs and poster distribution work. From Caitlin: "We can always count on Carolyn to do a great job for us. We receive countless positive feedback from our clients who often specifically request her to work events. She is a tremendous asset to our team."

1.  How long have you been working for Urban Enterprises? I started with Urban Enterprises in April of 2012.



Urban Enterprises was thrilled to host our 2nd annual "Let's Rock" in the New Year party at Hard Rock Cafe's Velvet Underground. It's a wonderful chance to celebrate the past year with our clients and office team. In 2012, we passed out 2 million coupons and expanded our markets to encompass additional Southeastern cities. We are also excited to toast to 2013 being an even greater year! Shayne introduced the newest members of the Urban Team, Kelly Greene- Staffing Coordinator & Brad Gibson- Marketing Coordinator. We'd like to thank Hard Rock Cafe's attentive serving staff for their hospitality, Last Five Standing for their awesome entertainment, and Brandon Polack for his photography. Thanks to all of our clients who were able to make it out and celebrate. Let's Rock in 2013!!

Our featured staff member for January 2013 is Marlyn Westbrock. "Marlyn has worked with Urban Enterprises for over 20 years!  As one of our most valued staff members, Marlyn had worked on projects ranging from the Perimeter Mall Guest Services program to the Trump Tower Lounge.  Currently, Marlyn job shares the management of the Guest Services Program at the Mall at Peachtree Center.  Our clients love working with Marlyn…and we love her, too!" ~Shayne

1.  How long have you been working for Urban Enterprises? I  have been with Urban Enterprises for 14 years.  I joined the company May of 1998 as a greeter at Perimeter Mall and came to Peachtree Center as  a Guest Services Rep. in February, 2008. 

2.  What do you do when you're not working? I have been married to my college boyfriend, Bill for 50 years.  I am the mother of four married children:  a son living here in Marietta, a son in Chicago and a son and daughter living in San Francisco towns.  I am a  grandmother of 10 grandchildren with our eleventh grandchild coming in May, 2013.  When I am not working, I an very fortunate to be able to help with our grandsons, Jack, 11 and Ben 9 one day a week. How great is that!  Traveling to see the other grandchildren keeps me very busy.  When I am not busy with my volunteer work one day a week at our parish church and also helping on a committee within our subdivision, I love entertaining our friends and love working on a project in our home.

3.  What do you like best about Urban Enterprises? Urban Enterprises is a wonderful company to work for as they are so dedicated to their employees. It is a family own company which makes them very personal, kind, considerate and fair.  From our president throughout our entire staff,  they make it an "awesome" company.   The best feature for me is that I love the flexibility of this position.  Since it is a job share position,  I work with  a wonderful, terrific and very compatible partner which makes this job fun, too.

4.  How did you find out about Urban Enterprises? A friend, Carol Huffaker was already working as a "greeter" at Perimeter Mall told me about the fun and interesting position that was available and I interviewed and "the rest is history"

5.  Who in Hollywood would play you in a movie? Audrey Hepburn

The Dutch Valley Food Truck Wednesdays is partnering with The Feed The Hungry Foundation to run a 2 week food drive event! Starting December 12th with Freckled and Blue and continuing on December 19th with The Blaxican, Parkside Piedmont and other Dutch Valley offices workers receive a free drink with the purchase of lunch and the donation of at least 3 non perishable goods. We filled the barrel both weeks with a great supply of food to Feed The Hungry, a fellow tenant in Parkside Piedmont. Find out more about Feed The Hungry and how you can help! Our featured staff member for December 2012 is Tracy Moore. Tracy is the on site project manager for the staff of the Santa Set at Atlantic Station.

1.  How long have you been working for Urban Enterprises?  This is my second project with UE. I've been working for Urban Enterprises since October. 


2.  What do you do when you're not working?  When I'm not working for UE, I'm usually working somewhere else! I teach after school drama, and work in marketing for Theatrical Outfit. I also act every now and again. 


3.  What do you like best about Urban Enterprises? UE provides a unique opportunity for employment because it's so flexible. I love working at the Atlantic Station Santa Set because kids seeing Santa provides hours and hours of adorable.

4.  How did you find out about Urban Enterprises? I've done 3 or 4 (or maybe 5? I lose count) shows with Caitlin. Since UE is always looking for people to work events, I was happy to help out!

5.  Who in Hollywood would play you in a movie? I can tell you who WOULDN'T: Lindsay. Lohan.

What makes Tracy the right choice to be our project manager for our largest holiday staffing event? Caitlin says, "I've seen Tracy in action as a leader, and I knew she would be the perfect fit for my head elf."

Our featured staff member for November 2012 is Kelly Greene. Kelly G is our newest addition to the Urban office! She is serving as our administrative assistant, working on projects around the office to assist with office building distribution, staffing and community board postings. She has made everyone's lives easier, especially Kelly S! "Kelly G is one of the most efficient and organized people I've ever worked with! She has helped me through the busiest weeks of my career with Urban, and I could not have met my deadlines without her!" ~Kelly S

2.  What do you do when you're not working?  Production Manager for The Collective Project, Inc. theatre company, travel whenever possible, read good books

3.  What do you like best about Urban Enterprises? The relaxed and productive atmosphere and the fun ladies I get to work with!

5.  Who in Hollywood would play you in a movie? Janeane Garofalo :-)

I asked Starr what qualities about Kelly G make her a good fit for our team: "Her attention to detail, multi-tasking, and organizational skills as a Production Manager for The Collective Project, a Production Assistant at Coca-Cola, and a Production Coordinator for IDeAs Event Services were the perfect match for our needs for a part-time Administrative Assistant."

We are thrilled to have Kelly G in our office 3 days a week and are glad to have her as a part of our team.
