Not only did UE help us get things off the ground they have kept it running smoothly ever since. Even better, they know us so well they bring us additional things we can offer the tenants which is appreciated and loved by all.
How long have you lived in Atlanta? I have been here a little less than 6 years now.
What do you do when you're not working? My passion is travelling. Anytime I can get away for any length of time you will find me anywhere in the world. NCAA FINAL FOUR AND ATLANTA SCORE A WIN WITH URBAN ENTERPRISES!

After a whirlwind month of promotions, Urban Enterprises is sad for the Final Four to end! When Shayne first sat in a Final Four retail planning committee led by the ACVB, she knew this was an event that Urban HAD to be involved with promoting. Upon meeting with Sharon Goldmacher and her fabulous team at Communications 21, Caitlin and Shayne created a multi-prong promotion that included an office distribution to downtown Atlanta buildings, a community board campaign, and street teams at local events. From the Publix Marathon to the Globetrotters and Hawks games, Urban teams were all around Atlanta promoting the games and the concerts! Urban takes full credit for the incredible turnout at the Big Dance concerts ;)!
This past weekend, Urban street teams were in the center of the action giving away basketballs, t-shirts, Bracket Town tickets, and Final Four bracelets! The only thing that could have made the experience better was if Michigan had brought home a win.
Check out the Atlanta Journal Constitution article about our company and the Final Four.

Passion, Politics and Paintings

I was recently given the opportunity to attend a sneak peek of the newest exhibit at the High Museum of Art dedicated to the art of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. Their love story is intriguing and one that most definitely comes out in their art. Particularly when it comes to their political beliefs and personal tragedies. For Frida specifically, the urge to paint came out of necessity. A terrible accident left her bed ridden and therefore painting was her only form of expression. It was incredibly moving to see her story unfold through her art. The High Museum of Art was lucky enough to be chosen as the first US display for this exhibit of combined works. An honor for the museum to present this show that holds more than 25 percent of Kahlo's total artwork. It is also the museum's first completely bilingual exhibition with both Spanish and English versions of all texts and audio tours.
Urban Enterprises was thrilled to do a neighborhood distribution for the High Museum to help promote this exhibit. Our street teams reported an incredible response from those we encountered. It is clearly a highly anticipated exhibit, and definitely not one to be missed. ~Caitlin

Atlanta Named Most Frugal US City by coupons.com
Urban Enterprises was very excited to see that Atlanta was named the MOST frugal city in the U.S. for the fourth straight year according to Coupons.com. This is good for our business as it clearly shows that Atlanta residents love a good deal. Urban Enterprises offers two great services for Restaurants and Events to promote themselves and drive traffic via our Office Buildings Distribution and Community Board Posting services by hand distributing coupons, offers, and promo materials to potential consumers. Our services are great marketing tools to expand your brand and bring awareness to your restaurant or event.
According to household savings expert Jeanette Pavini of Coupons.com “305 billion coupons were distributed in the U.S. in 2012, giving consumers more than $450 billion in potential savings. That’s more than the gross national product of most countries.” During 2012 Urban Enterprises hand distributed 1 million coupons in Metro Atlanta, Athens (GA), Birmingham (AL), Huntsville (AL), Nashville (TN), Memphis (TN) and Charlotte (N.C.). Our clients saw an average redemption rate between 5%-12% per distribution.
If you or someone you know needs help driving traffic to their restaurant or event please have them contact Urban Enterprises at 404-249-4264.

What a Feeling! The Great White Way in our own backyard!
Last week I had the pleasant and unexpected invitation to see "Flashdance: The Musical". The only knowledge I had of this show was that it existed. I was thrilled with the lively performances, familiar (and new) music, technical surprises, and upbeat performances. I was able to attend opening night and immediately recommended a viewing to all my friends on social media. I love to attend a show or movie having no preconceived notions as to what I'm seeing. I had seen the movie on which it was based (eons ago), and my memory of the exact plot was foggy at best. It was an enthralling and audience-friendly event, especially for this child of the 80s. What added to my excitement was the announcement of the 2013/2014 season by Broadway in Atlanta. I've never been a season ticket holder, but I was never more convinced to become one. Every musical on the billing is a must-see! The new season will kick-off in November with "Ghost: The Musical". I have friends
who have seen this production when it opened on the West End in London and recently in New York. They all gave it strong recommendations. I had hoped for a song based on Whoopi's famous line "Molly, you in danger girl". No dice, but I hear the music that is presented is terrific. Next on this impressive list is "The Book of Mormon", the controversial, but endearing hit musical that swept the Tony's in 2011. I'm most excited about this musical. I have heard the soundtrack and seen clips of performances, now I'll have an opportunity to see this production in its entirety. "Once" the musical will open in March. If you have never heard of this production, it is based on an independent movie that won a Best Original Song Academy Award for the track "Falling Slowly." The transition of this show to a musical seems an easy fit, as the story itself is about a songwriter, and is filled with irish-folk/contemporary music. I was an instant fan of this movie, and from what I've seen, the musical looks to be not only an impressive show, but serves well as a highlight for multi-faceted, multitalented musicians. "The Lion King" will make its way to the Fox in April, a first for the venue. "The Lion King" has toured through Atlanta before, but was seemingly too big in scale to fit in the theater. I will be interested to see how this show will transition into the space. This is another show that I have always wanted to see, but have just never had the opportunity. Later in April will see "American Idiot," with music from the Album by Green Day as the basis for this modern musical. The last entry for this upcoming season is the classic Andrew Lloyd Weber musical "Evita".
The most invigorating aspect of this new Broadway in Atlanta season is the diversity of the shows that are to be offered. There are classics, contemporary classics, and edgier productions that provide a well rounded package. It seems the folks at Broadway in Atlanta, as well as other touring companies, are doing a great job at bringing the best of Broadway to Peachtree Street and the Fabulous Fox Theatre! We love working with Broadway in Atlanta, providing poster distribution services to promote their shows all across Metro Atlanta. ~Brad

1. How long have you been working for Urban Enterprises?
I've been working for Urban for 3 years.
2. What do you do when you're not working?
When I'm not working, I spend time on my other passion, decorating. I divide my time professionally between decorating and Urban. Both have evolved over the years, increasing my knowledge and experience, and I love that I'm able to continue pursuing these professions. I also enjoy reading and of course, being a mom of five children, even though they're all adults, you never stop being a mom.
3. What do you like best about Urban Enterprises?
My favorite thing about Urban is the flexibility it allows me to have, along with the wonderful people I've worked with and met along the way. With Urban, you have a lot of opportunity to work in new environments and with new people. It's a great place to work.
4. Who would play you in a movie?
Maybe Sally Field??
From Caitlin: Susie has done an amazing job over the past two years with our neighborhood distributions. She always goes the extra mile to ensure that each job is done well whether that be doing research, taking extra time delivering, or developing contacts and relationships with merchants. She is a valuable addition to our team.
We are thrilled to feature Susie this month!

Camp Flix
One of the best things about Urban Enterprises is the opportunity to work with amazing clients all over Atlanta. I was particularly excited and intrigued when we were presented with the task of a community board distribution for a new summer camp called Camp Flix. This one week camp experience (offering both day camp and overnight camp options) gives children ages 11-17 the experience and knowledge of filmmaking and acting. Industry professionals will teach the campers, as well as give them hands on experience, from the beginning stages to the final cut. The week ends with a red carpet premiere where the kids will show their digital shorts that they have created.

Being an actor myself, I immediately took interest in such an incredible opportunity at such a young age. Atlanta's film and TV industry is booming and what a great way to plug in a rising star! There is no better way to grow and learn than to have that hands on experience required in such a competitive industry. Camp dates are July 16-20 and July 23-27. To register your child or get more info visit Camp Flix!

A Day at Legoland
Sunday, March 25 our family attended a "very special" birthday party at the new Legoland at Phipps Plaza. The children (mostly seven year olds) had a great time! One little boy said he thought that Legoland was very interesting! The thing that I liked the best were the lego buildings that depicted all the important skyscrapers and business areas in Atlanta. The kids loved the rides and especially all the opportunities to build lego objects! It looks like Legoland will be a big success for Phipps Plaza and Atlanta.
We also enjoyed chips, guacamole and yummy chesse dip at the Moe's restaurant
that has recently reopened there. Johnny Rockets and Subway will be joining Moe's alongside Legoland and the movie theaters soon. Check them out!
